Utah football: Morris-Edwards to transfer to Weber State, NFL Combine invites

Utah defensive back Tyron Morris-Edwards will graduate this spring and transfer to Weber State in search of more playing time. In Ogden, he’ll be reunited with former Ute assistant Jay Hill — the new head coach of the Wildcats.

Morris-Edwards appeared in 22 games for the Utes after redshirting in 2010. The former Alta High standout made 22 tackles (12 solo) with two passes defended and one tackle-for-loss during his tenure at Utah.

COMBINE INVITATIONS: Anthony Denham (as a tight end), Keith McGill, Jake Murphy, Tenny Palepoi and Trevor Reilly have been invited to the upcoming NFL Scouting Combine.
