Bowl picture looking Sun-ny for Utes

It’s looking more and more like Utah will be headed to the Sun Bowl. In his latest projections, Jerry Palm of CBSSports.com and CollegeRPI.com has the Utes (7-5) facing Georgia Tech (8-4) in the New Year’s Eve game in El Paso.
The teams met in the 2005 Emerald Bowl in San Francisco with Utah prevailing 38-10.
EXTRA POINT: Utah defeated New Mexico, 26-0 in the 1939 Sun Bowl.
