Utes hire Tim Davis

The Deseret News has learned that former University of Utah player and assistant Tim Davis has been hired to coach the Utes’ offensive line. He replaces Blake Miller, who accepted a similar position at Memphis.
Davis, who was an offensive tackle for the Utes from 1978-80, has spent the past three seasons coaching at Minnesota. He coached Utah’s offensive line from 1990-96 before stints with Wisconsin, USC, the Miami Dolphins and a brief tenure as director of player personnel at Alabama.
As for the Norm Chow rumors, Utah sources said “there have been no developments” as of Thursday afternoon.
