Taplin-Ross, Schlauderaff to Shrine Game

Utah safety Justin Taplin-Ross has accepted an invitation to play in the East-West Shrine Game Jan. 22 in Orlando. Taplin-Ross was the Utes’ fifth-leading tackler in 2010 with 51.5 stops, including 4.5 behind the line of scrimmage. The senior deflected three passes, had two interceptions, a sack and a pass breakup.
“Justin is very deserving of the invite. He played great football for us this season,” said Utah coach Kyle Whittingham. “That speaks to the level of respect that he’s gained with the NFL scouts and obviously the people that are involved with the bowl game.”
Utah offensive lineman Caleb Schlauderaff was added to the Shrine Game roster Monday afternoon.
