A lot of talk about a 'tweet'

A Twitter post by Utah wide receiver DeVonte Christopher became a hot topic a day before the MAACO Bowl Las Vegas game between the Utes and Boise State.
Christopher drew media attention for sending out the following message on his account: “I can’t wait to get out here wit these Boise State or should I say Girlse State they a bunch of cheerleaders…lol.”
Utah coach Kyle Whittingham said he’s spoken with Christopher a couple of times about the “tweet.” Christopher, Whittingham explained, thought he was just speaking to a circle of friends.
No disciplinary action will be taken.
Whittingham said he’d have to make a Twitter policy in order to have a Twitter policy. Going forward, he explained, a hard and fast policy may be developed.
Boise State coach Chris Petersen said it was the media and not the Broncos who were concerned about Christopher’s comments.
