Utah coach Kyle Whittingham and the Utes took advantage of the unseasonably warm weather and practiced at Rice-Eccles Stadium on Monday. They’ll face Boise State in MAACO Bowl Las Vegas on Dec. 22.
“It’s good to get outside,” Whittingham said of the pleasant conditions. “The guys worked hard and it was a good practice.”
The Utes, he added, are “back to in season mode” that includes practices each day through Saturday.

Quarterback Jordan Wynn had successful surgery on his throwing shoulder Monday. Whittingham said things went very well and no surprises were discovered. Things went so well that Wynn actually stopped by the football facility later in the day and visited with Whittingham. Wynn faces six months of rehabilitation.
