Whittingham on the rivalry

In his postgame remarks Saturday, Utah coach Kyle Whittingham offered the following insights on the rivalry with BYU:
“You would like to see it be as competitive as you can be, but still be civil and not cross that line where it becomes ugly or really, really hateful,” he said about the fans. “I know the players don’t feel that way. These players, you know, they respect each other. You’d like to have everyone involved in the rivalry on the same page.”
The bottom line?
“Keep things in perspective, I guess, is the best way to put it,” Whittingham said.
