No practice on Monday

Utah coach Kyle Whittingham opted to give the Utes an extra day off. They didn’t practice Monday.
It’s all part of the master plan. Whittingham and his staff like to stagger in beneficial breaks as the season progresses.
“Sometimes down time is as good or better than time on the field,” Whittingham said. “And we just felt that this week was a good time to take one of those opportunities.”
In other news, tight end Brad Clifford will be sidelined for the next couple of weeks with a shoulder injury. The senior led the Utes with five receptions in last weekend’s 30-6 win at Wyoming. Fortunately for Utah, tight end Kendrick Moeai (concussion) is scheduled to be activated this week as the Utes prepare to host Colorado State on Saturday.
