"The hay is never in the barn"

Preparations for Saturday’s game at Iowa State will continue all the way until the ball is in the air on the opening kickoff. Then, explained Utah coach Kyle Whittingham, the Utes will shift into game mode.
It’s nothing new. That’s how they roll each week. Preparations continue all the way until game time.
“The hay is never in the barn,” Whittingham said. “That’s a motto we have here.”
Part of the process includes intensive film study each and every day.
“You pick up something new every time you watch film,” Whittingham said after Tuesday’s practice.
