Wynn passes first test

So far, so good for Utah quarterback Jordan Wynn.
The sophomore, who hasn’t played since the season opener against Pittsburgh because of a thumb sprain on his throwing hand, passed the ball well in practice Monday – just one day after being told he no longer needed to wear a splint on it.
Utah coach Kyle Whittingham gave Wynn high marks.
“He threw the ball well,” Whittingham said. “We’ll see how he feels tomorrow. That will be a good indicator if he’s sore or anything like that. But he looked good today.”
Good enough to start Saturday against San Jose State?
That, Whittingham responded, will depend on “how things progress.”
The first order of business is to see how Wynn feels tomorrow.
Backup Terrance Cain stepped in for Wynn and guided the Utes to victories over UNLV and New Mexico.
