Whittingham: "Good work in practice"

Utah coach Kyle Whittingham said the Utes addressed their punt protection problems in practice this week, spending twice as much time as usual on that aspect of the game. Two blocks in two games, obviously, didn’t sit well.
“We’ve worked hard on it,” he said while noting that the staff needed to coach it better.
Other shortcomings, like third-down defense and sluggish starts offensively, were also focused on.
“We’ve had good work in practice,” Whittingham said. “It’s been very good in practice, as a matter of fact, so we’ve just got to transfer that to the game.”
Utah’s charter to Albuquerque is scheduled to leave after practice Friday afternoon.
