Smithson wins award

Utah’s Shaky Smithson has been named Mountain West Conference Special Teams Player of the Week. The senior returned a punt 77 yards for a touchdown in Saturday’s 38-10 win over UNLV.
Smithson is the third Ute to win an MWC weekly award this season. Wide receiver DeVonte Christopher and safety Brian Blechen are the others.
