California lineman to sign with Utah

Siaosi Aiono, a 6-foot-2 1/2, 290-pound offensive lineman from South Hills High School in West Covina, Calif., has accepted a scholarship offer from the University of Utah. He plans to sign a letter-of-intent with the Utes in February. Aiono’s father said Utah’s upcoming membership in the Pac-10 is a “bonus” for the southern California family. Aiono is LDS and may end up serving a church mission.
