Henderson suspended as expected

It was no surprise that Utah coach Jim Boylen said today that freshman guard Marshall Henderson would be suspended for this week’s home game against Colorado State.
Boylen hinted about it in his postgame comments after Satruday’s loss to BYU, when he said, “We’re going to handle it.”
He probably knew that the Mountain West Conference would likely suspend Henderson, but he said he wanted to be “pro-active” about the situation. Give Boylen credit for taking action and not waiting for the MWC to act.
With Henderson out, it might be a chance for Jordan Cyphers, who has been buried on the bench most of the year, to see some action Wednesday night. Cyphers played more as a freshman than he has this year, but was has been beaten out this year by Henderson, who has seen most of the action as Utah’s shooting guard.
