Urban's renewal ends speculation

Urban Meyer’s decision to take a leave of absence at Florida ended several hours of speculation by the national media. When Meyer originally announced he would resign, Utah coach Kyle Whittingham’s name appeared on several media lists as a possible replacement.
If nothing else, it raised Whittingham’s national stature.
And speaking of nothing else, Utah sports information director Liz Abel said that Whittingham and athletics director Chris Hill didn’t have any new comments to add to yesterday’s remarks about Meyer’s situation. Both men expressed their concern for Meyer’s health and happiness.
