Phillips is a Lou Groza semifinalist

Utah kicker Joe Phillips is one of 20 semifinalists for the Lou Groza Award, which honors the nation’s top placekicker each year.
Phillips, a junior, enters this Saturday’s game at TCU with 11-of-13 success in field goals and 25-of-26 accuracy in PATs.
He’s the only Mountain West Conference kicker to make the cut.
A year ago, Utah All-American Louie Sakoda was one of three finalists for the award.
