When asked who would be Utah’s starting quarterback Saturday against New Mexico — Terrance Cain or Jordan Wynn — head coach Kyle Whittingham offered little or no insight.
“We’ll name that on game day,” he said at his weekly press conference Monday afternoon. “With their skills sets being fairly different, significantly different, it just doesn’t make sense to name that person until game day.”

INJURY UPDATE: Whittingham said the Utes came out of last week’s win over Wyoming without any major injuries, just bumps and bruises.
Safety Joe Dale, who has missed the past two games with an unspecified knee injury, is “probable” this week. Whittingham said he’ll see how things go in practice today and tomorrow before making a definitive decision.
