FanFest to return in 2010

Utah athletics director Chris Hill acknowledged that canceling this year’s interactive “FanFest” was a mistake and he’s “very committed” to bringing it back in 2010. In fact, he added that “it’s going to get done.”
The annual gathering allowed fans to interact with the university’s student-athletes for free at Rice-Eccles Stadium. It’s traditional held at the end of football camp in late August.
“We were wrong,” Hill said. “We should have found money elsewhere to do that because it’s a good family thing for people to do.”
In other news, Hill indicated that ticket prices for football and gymnastics will go up next year.
