Extra points: Monday injury update
Good news on the injury front for the Utes.
Utah coach Kyle Whittingham confirmed that defensive tackle Lei Talamaivao (fibula) and offensive lineman Walter Watts (knee) will both be back in action this week. So, too, will wide receiver Shaky Smithson (high ankle sprain).
Nose guard Kenape Eliapo, who missed the Air Force game because of an eye issue, is considered “probable” this week.

Running back Eddie Wide, who injured his ankle in the first half but returned to play last week, is OK.
“That was an ankle sprain that was fairly significant,” Whittingham said. “He did a nice job coming back. He showed a lot of toughness and determination.”
