Sakoda to Saskatchewan

Louie Sakoda has accepted an invitation to audition for the Canadian Football League’s Saskatchewan Roughriders. As such, the former Utah All-American kicker/punter has left his undergraduate assistant coach position with the Utes for the opportunity to play professionally in Canada.
“We wish him well. I hope it works out for him,” said Utah coach Kyle Whittingham. “He did a good job for us while he was here. If he ever wanted to be a coach he’d be a very good one. He’s got the right temperament.”
