Monday morning injury update

Medical updates after the Louisville game:

* Utah coach Kyle Whittingham once again confirmed that running back Matt Asiata is out for the season with a torn right ACL.

* Defensive tackle Lei Talamaivao, who was originally diagnosed with a cracked fibula, had more x-rays taken Monday morning and is out until further notice.

* Left tackle Zane Beadles suffered a leg contusion, but should be back for the Colorado State game on Oct. 10.

“That’s it,” Whittingham said. “Everyone else is just bumps and bruises and that type of deal.”

The Utes have a bye this week, but will practice Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
