Asiata, Schlauderaff questionable

Running back Matt Asiata (shoudler) and left guard Caleb Schlauderaff (knee) are questionable for Saturday’s game at Oregon. Both are considered “day-to-day” after getting hurt in last weekend’s 24-14 win at San Jose State.
Utah coach Kyle Whittingham announced the status of both players at his weekly press conference on Monday. Injuries will now only be addressed on Mondays, as per a new policy announced by the increasingly secretive program.
Whittingham said Schlauderaff’s situation is much like it was before the Utah State game — meaning he’ll most likely be a game-time decision regardless of how much he practices this week.
Same goes for Asista. The Mountain West Conference’s leading rusher “dinged his shoulder up” in the fourth quarter at San Jose State.
“A proven guy like that, if he’s ready, it’s probably a game-time decision,” Whittingham said. “We’ll know a lot more as the week progresses.”
