Both QBs may play; Marsh suspended

Utah coach Kyle Whittingham said if there’s an opportunity to do so both Terrance Cain and Jordan Wynn will see action in Thursday’s opener against Utah State.
“Ideally we’d like to get them both in a game situation,” said Whittingham, who once again dismissed the notion of a platoon system.
The starter, he added, already knows “through the process” that the job is his. A formal announcement, however, won’t be made.
It’s not some top secret deal, Whittingham explained, just a way to avoid as many distractions as possible and let the quarterbacks focus on the task at hand.

Freshman kicker/punter Nick Marsh has been suspended indefinitely.
“He’s not on the team at this point for disciplinary reasons,” said Whittingham, who declined additional comment.
