Schlauderaff's situation

Head coach Kyle Whittingham said starting left guard Caleb Schlauderaff, who injured his left knee in Tuesday’s practice, is questionable for the Sept. 3 season opener against Utah State. Same goes for right guard Walter Watts (knee scope).
Schlauderaff, however, will play even if he doesn’t return to the practice field beforehand.
“If is ready, if they clear him, he’ll go,” Whittingham said. “He’s just a dependable guy. He’s a blue-collar guy. He doesn’t say a lot. He doesn’t do anything but work hard every single day. He’s exceptionally smart. He’s a very, very bright guy.”
Obviously, it isn’t hard to figure out what Whittingham thinks about the 6-foot-4, 300-pound junior.
