Louks is transferring

Corbin Louks, who was the odd man out in the three-way battle for the No. 1 quarterback spot this month, has decided to transfer.
He announced through the U. athletic department that he would be transferring to Nevada, one of five schools he considered out of high school in Danville, Calif. Coach Kyle Whittingham said he will miss Louks, but wished him the best in his decision.
“Corbin has decided to transfer and felt it was in his best interest to make this move,” said Whittingham. “He’s a quarterback at heart and that’s what he wants to play. By transferring to Nevada he has the opportunity to be a full-time quarterback. We’ll miss him and we wish him well. He was instrumental to our success last year. That’s what he felt was right for him and we support him and wish him the best.”
With Louks gone, freshman Griff Robles, who returned from an LDS mission last spring, becomes the No. 3 quarterback behind Jordan Wynn and Terrance Cain.
