California OL says yes to Utes

Jamil Douglas, a 6-foot-5, 245-pound offensive tackle from Cypress High School in California, has given the University of Utah an early recruiting commitment. He informed the coaching staff of his decision after a visit to Salt Lake City today.
“I just felt like it’s where I was going to have the best chance to develop as a student and and athlete,” said Douglas, who plans to pursue studies in sports medicine.
Douglas mentioned San Diego State, Oregon and Arizona State as some of the other programs he considered. He plans to sign a letter of intent in February and join the Utes shortly after high school graduation.
