Utah football update

Linebacker Mo Neal, who was arrested and charged with three misdemeanors after a bar fight in June, will not play in any games this season until the matter is settled.
“He will not compete until it is resolved – one way or the other,” said Utah coach Kyle Whittingham.
In the meantime, Neal will be allowed to practice. The sophomore appeared in nine games last season and made nine tackles.
Senior defensive back Damilyn Tanner, a projected contender to be a starter in the nickel package, has been dismissed from the team for academic reasons and will not return. The junior college transfer played in 11 games last season and made five stops.
