In other news, right guard Neli A’asa is out indefinitely with a knee injury. He’ll be replaced by center Zane Taylor. Redshirt freshman Tevita Stevens is now the No. 1 center.
Offensive coordinator Dave Schramm, however, notes that things are still quite fluid when it comes to the depth chart and position changes.
“No permanent decisions have been made, but we are looking at some new combinations to try and get the best players on the field,” he said in a press release Tuesday morning.
Additional position changes include Walter Watts backing up Caleb Schlauderaff at left guard; Tyler Williams moving back to center after a brief stint at left guard; and Louis Finner climbing the depth chart behind right tackle Tony Bergstrom.
