Brown's spectacular dunk is No. 1 on SportsCenter

I just saw Carlon Brown’s spectacular dunk on SportsCenter. I don’t know what’s more amazing — Brown’s high-flying, rim-rattling throwdown or the fact that a Utah basketball highlight was No. 1 on Plays of the Day.
I have to say, as one who saw it from a few feet away on press row, it wasn’t as good on TV as it was live. Maybe it’s something about sitting at court level and seeing how high Brown got up there for his posterization on TCU’s Kevin Langford.
This was the fourth astounding dunk by Brown this season and probably the best. The others, against Oregon, Oklahoma and Utah State were all terrific, the kind that left you with your jaw open wondering what you just saw.
Brown just shrugged it off when I asked him about it afterward, saying he didn’t have time to enjoy it and “Hopefully I’ll see it later.” If he stayed up long enough he should have gotten his wish.
Of course that was just one highlight of Utah’s 62-54 victory over TCU. Brown led the Utes with 14 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists on a night when Luke Nevill was bottled up by double- and triple-teams much of the night.
Utah coach Jim Boylen called his Brown “a man among boys” Wednesday night, which may have been an exaggeration, but he was the top player on the floor and the reason Utah won.
Every time I see one of his dunks, I can’t imagine a better one. However, Brown continues to amaze with even better ones.
