No place like dome . . .

A boo-boo in a recent story has brought some quick responses from readers. An “extra point” item concerning Utah’s previous indoor games should have read “bowl games.”
It didn’t, however.
Many readers brought up the 1990 win over Minnesota in the Metrodome.
And former Ute Terry Baker noted that Utah faced Houston in the Astrodome in 1966. He even shared some memories.
“The Astrodome carpet was thin and covered very hard concrete. The playing surface was super fast but we got carpet burns and a lot of bruises from it,” Baker noted. “It was Mike Giddons first year as the coach and we came close to beating a very good Houston team.”
