CBS Sportline, however, is projecting a Utah-Florida matchup in the Sugar Bowl in its latest bowl predictions.
Here’s their explanation: “With Alabama going to the BCS National Title game, the Sugar Bowl would get one of the first two replacement picks and obviously would select the highest-ranked SEC team, which will be Florida. After the Fiesta Bowl picks, the Sugar Bowl would have its choice between the Big East champion or Utah/Boise State. We think Urban Meyer coaching against his former team, which is undefeated, would be more interesting than taking Big East champion.”
