Whittingham headed to ESPN

Kyle Whittingham will spend the first part of Utah’s bye week in Bristol, Conn., for a day of appearances on ESPN television and radio. He’ll fly out of Salt Lake City Monday morning and return late Tuesday evening — causing him to miss practice that day.
Utah’s practice schedule next week features sessions on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
In other news, Coach Whit’s proposal to the Crimson Club to purchase headstones for BCS teams the Utes defeat is off to a slow start. No donations, thus far.
“I think it would be something that would be a good thing to do,” Whittingham said of the idea.
A better consideration might be to do something inside the football complex instead, like a “Wall of Fame” or something.
