Mack will be a game-time decision Saturday

Utah running back Darrell Mack, who was named Mountain West Conference co-Offensive Player of the Week, after rushing for 101 yards and three touchdowns in Saturday’s 30-23 win at Air Force, has turf toe. He did not practice Tuesday.
Head coach Kyle Whittingham said it’s a “day-to-day thing” and will be “touch-and-go” right up to game time, when a final decision will be made.
Mack isn’t alone. Defensive end Koa Misi (ankle) and right guard Robert Conley (knee) are also being evaluated on a daily basis to see if they’ll be able to play Saturday against Weber State.
And that’s not all, starting left guard Caleb Schlauderaff is battling a sore elbow.
The Utes resumed practice Tuesday after limiting Monday’s workout to conditioning drills in an attempt to recover from the physically demanding game at Air Force.
“I think it did them some good,” Whittingham said. “We’re just about to midseason so we start to make practice a little bit shorter. It’s just common practice throughout the years.”
Practices are now about 10 minutes shorter than usual as the Utes back things off a bit to lessen the wear-and-tear on the players.
In other news, Whittingham confirmed that Terrell Cole will once again be Utah’s primary punt returner and that Aiona Key will make his Utah debut Saturday on two or three special teams and select offensive series.
