And the next punt returner is . . .

After Wednesday’s practice, Utah coach Kyle Whittingham was quickly asked about his team’s search to find someone to field punts.
“We’re making progress,” he said. “We’re down to three or four guys and tomorrow we’ll make a final decision.”
An official announcement, however, won’t be coming. The winner won’t be revealed until Air Force punts for the first time on Saturday.
Whittingham acknowledged that it’s not a “big strategic deal.” It simply gives the coaching staff the luxury of taking as much time as needed to fill the shortcoming.
When asked if there was something funny about answering questions concerning punt returns when his team is nationally ranked and riding a three-game winning streak, Whittingham said there’s “always something to fix.”
And punt returns, he added, are a “glaring area of concern” for the Utes.
