The Utes saw live action against the scout team Thursday morning and head coach Kyle Whittingham said they got a lot of good work in . . . Kicker/punter Louie Sakoda is back to full health. The redness and swelling on his calf has subsided and he resumed practice after missing Wednesday’s scrimmage. Whittingham said they aren’t certain what it was, but are sure it wasn’t a spider bite . . . Nothing new on AIona Key. Whittingham, however, said it’s still possible the junior college receiver could see action at Michigan . . . Freshman quarterback DeVonte Christopher is no long seeing action as a wide receiver. He’s quarterbacking the scout team offense and Whittingham said it’s likely Christopher will redshirt this season . . . Running backs Matt Asiata and Darrell Mack are both expected to be 100 percent healthy for the Aug. 30 season opener.
