Aiono to sign with Utes

Snow College All-American defensive end James Aiono, who originally committed to Utah after a stellar career at Murray High School, plans to sign a letter of intent with the Utes in February and join the team next season.
The 6-foot-3, 275-pound lineman is considered one of the top junior college players in the nation.
Aiono is the seventh player to give Utah and early commitment for 2009. The others include wide receiver Travis Cobb (Blinn College, Texas); lineman Vyncent Jones (Jordan HS); wide receiver Jamal Smith (Oxnard HS, Calif.); safety Jarrad Stewart (Pearland HS, Texas); running back Chris Brown (Newbury Park HS, Calif.); wide receiver C.J. Porter (Concord HS, Calif.).
