Johnson on the mend

Brian Johnson estimates his recovery from offseason shoulder surgery at 90-95 percent. The senior quarterback, who is a candidate for the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award, is throwing to his receivers a couple of times a week and is confident he’ll be close to 100 percent by the time camp opens.
The Utes are involved in summer conditioning, while the coaching staff is busy with the second session of its annual camp for kids. The latter is keeping the football facility at a dull roar with enthusiastic children here, there and everywhere.
