Lunch crowd at Hires

During a brief, but productive trip to Hires in downtown Salt Lake City to exchange diet tips with other weight-bearing customers, I couldn’t help but notice a couple of famous faces in the dining room. The lunch crowd included former University of Utah football star Steve Smith and Carolina Panthers owner Jerry Richardson.
The duo grabbed a bite to eat before heading up the hill for a press conference to announce that Smith was donating $250,000 to his alma mater in the form of an endowed scholarship for a wide receiver.
When asked about the stop at Hires, Smith said it’s something he likes to do every time he visits the U.
