Salter's suspension should help Utes

News that TCU guard Henry Salter has been susepended indefinitely is good for the Ute basketball team.
Salter, a JC transfer, has been the Horned Frogs’ leading scorer most of the season (13.3) and one of the top 3-point shooters in the nation. He also is tied for first on the team in rebounding at 5.0 per game.
According to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Salter was suspended by coach Neil Dougherty “for conduct detrimental to the team.” The coach gave no indication how long the suspension would last.
Salter was the Utes’ main defensive concern in the earlier game in Salt Lake, which the Utes won handily 74-58. Lawrence Borha covered Salter most of the game and held him to a pair of 3-pointers and 6 points on 2 of 9 shooting.
The Utes still have to worry about Brent Hackett and Kevin Langford, who are double-digit scorers, but with one less big scorer to contend with, the Utes have to like their chances tonight.
By the way, if you’re looking for the game on TV, sorry, this is one of two MWC games for Utah that isn’t televised.
